He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked (Luke 6:35)

Habits Form Character

Lord, give me the strength to start doing a positive thing each day so that my positive personality can be formed in the long run.

亲密的背叛 - the suffering of Jesus

Why
Michael Card
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3T74qnBqip8&feature=related

Why did it have to be a friend who chose to betray the Lord
And why did he use a kiss to show them
That’s not what a kiss is for
Only a friend can betray a friend
Stranger has nothing to give
Only a friend comes close enough
To ever cause so much pain

Why did it have to be a thorny
Crown pressed upon his head
It should have been a royal one
Made of jewels and gold instead

It had to be a crown of thorns
For him this life we live
For all who seek to love the thorny
Is all the world has to give

Why did there have to be a heavy cross
He was made to bear
And why did they nail his feet and hands
His love would’ve held him there
It was a cross for all other cross
That people are supposed to pay

Jesus has come to the world to
Steal every heart away

Jesus has come to the world to
Steal every heart away

Who am I

I am often lost. Even though the Lord has saved me, I forgot my new identity, and my new creation in the Lord, because I know so little God's words. There is a constant hunger and thirst for God's words. Lord, feed me with your words. I decide to re-read Paul's letters from today on. I will try to write down the meditation on Paul's letters when I go through the words. (All words are from New American Standard Version).

Chapter 1
1Paul, (A)called as an apostle of Jesus Christ by (B)the will of God, and (C)Sosthenes our (D)brother,
2To (
E)the church of God which is at (F)Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints (G)by calling, with all who in every place (H)call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:

My thoughts:

Paul knows who he is and he has great confidence in his new identity. He knows he belongs to Jesus, King of Kings, and has a special identity on earth. How he becomes what he is today is by the will of God. This level of confidence and sense of security give him the courage to write the letter to the church he is concerned about.

Potter & Clay

Darkness - Light

What a wretched man I am!
I am besieged in layers and layers of darkness
My heart is in the darkest of the dark
I tried, tried, and tried to break it through, oh Lord
But no matter what I do, I am sinking into an even darker dark.

Oh Lord, only you can deliver me from this darkest dark
Because you said:

Because of the tender mercy of our God
By which the rising sun will come to us from heaven
To shine on those living in darkness And in the shadow of death
To guide our feet into the path of peace (Luke 1: 78-79)

Oh Lord, please with your tender mercy
shine on me with the rising light from heaven
shatter the dark, the chains, in my heart
break it!
Oh, Lord, I need you!
Hear my desperate cries!
My only hope is in you!
My only salvation is in you!
Oh, Lord, please do not forsake me!
do not keep me in the dark
I am so besieged, so trapped, so hopeless, so helpless
Oh, Lord, let me feel your presence
Let me put trust in you
Only you know how to care for me
Remember me in your presence
Heed my groans

5. 啊!良人一举目,众天使下拜,他面前有万军敬候;

O THOU, IN WHOSE PRESENCE

1. O Thou, in whose presence my soul takes delight,
On whom in affliction I call,
My comfort by day and my song in the night,
My hope, my salvation, my all!

2. Where dost Thou, dear Shepherd, resort with Thy sheep,
To feed them in pastures of love;
Say, why in the valley of death should I weep,
Or alone in this wilderness rove?

3. Oh, why should I wander, an alien from Thee.
Or cry in the desert for bread?
Thy foes will rejoice when my sorrows they see,
And smile at the tears I have shed.

4. Ye daughters of Zion, declare, have you seen
The Star that on Israel shone?
Say, if in your tents my Beloved has been,
And where with His flocks He is gone?

5. He looks! and ten thousands of angels rejoice,
And myriads wait for His word;
He speaks! and eternity, filled with His voice,
Re-echoes the praise of the Lord.

6. Dear Shepherd! I hear, and will follow Thy call;
I know the sweet sound of Thy voice;
Restore and defend me, for Thou art my all,
And in Thee I will ever rejoice.

I just found this song at
http://www.21sz.org/show.aspx?page=3&id=6789&cid=21. How I like the words! It's just what I want to pray to the Lord today. It would be good anyone can provide the music for this beautiful beautiful song.

Praise to the Lord! After I have sent out the above request, the Lord lead me to find the score at: http://library.timelesstruths.org/music/O_Thou_in_Whose_Presence/pdf/ (everything can be a blessing if it is used in the Lord, like internet.)

Pitiful Christian

Meditation - God's Advice

Unwind with meditation. Stress is the root cause of most of the diseases that shorten our life span. In our modern society stress will continue to increase - unless you find techniques to manage it. Meditation is the best way to release tension and revitalize your being. It teaches you to breath properly, which is critical for eliminating up to 70% of your body's toxins and wastes. It also quiets your mind, lowers your stress hormones, and teaches self-discipline, which is a necessary attribute to achieving your health and longevity goals.

Try this beginning meditation:
Sit comfortably on a chair or the floor. Breathe naturally and close your eyes. Each time a thought appears, put it inside a balloon and let it fly up into the sky and disappear. Do this until the thoughts are exhausted. After a bit, your body will feel very light, and your mind will become still. The first few times it may take a while, but it will get easier and faster with practice.
